Issues after the accident
Car: Subaru, Legacy, 2008 - Back to Fix-It - Subaru Legacy Repair Manuals
Q.2008 Subaru Legacy 3.0R w/20K miles was in a bad accident, took six weeks to repair. Now the check engine light stays on, cruise control doesn't work, S light flashes and remote starting system doesn't work. Dealer worked on it after the accident and I have brought it back twice since. They haven't been able to fix te problem and they told me that the "values" all check out. They say they have to take apart the engine. Any suggestions?
More Info required Do you know what code is causing the check engine light to come on by chance?
Addition Sorry, I have no idea. The dealer told me that each side of the engine returns an equal value. If you think it will help I can ask them for more info.
Answer Well, it would be helpful to have the code. Chances in my mind are really good you have a broken or bad wire in the harness someplace causing the problem. This can sometimes happen after the car is in an accident. Without a code though, I would not even know where to start looking.
