My ABS and my brake light stays on
Car: Dodge, 2500, 2002, Diesel - Back to Fix-It - Dodge Repair Manuals
Q.I have a 2002,Dodge Ram 2500, Diesel, 2 wheel drive and my ABS and my brake light stays on.
The sensor over the rear axal has been changed, but didn't fix it. The computer shows that my truck is going 3 mph when standing still.
Can you help me figure it out. The ABS Controler Part number is P52010033AE. If this is the problem can you tell me where I might find one at a resonable price? Thanks.
More Info required Have you pulled codes on this yet?
Addition Yes, and no codes show up as a fault. The only thing that could be found was that the computer read that the truck was going 3 mph ehile sitting still.
More Info required if the abs light is on, then there will be a code set, how did you pull codes?
Addition I had 2 different mechanics use their computer and both said there were no codes that came up.
The one that said the truck was going 3 mph scrolled through the computer and that was all that came up.
More Info required without the codes I would be shooting blind, there are codes in the abs system if the lights on
Addition I would hate to have to replace parts that may not help. The 2 mechanics that checked it with their computer each own their own shops and have been working on dodges for several years, but they don't want to just start changing things that could be costly.
Answer IF THE ABS MODULE IS READING 3MPH STANDING STILL AND THE LIGHT IS ON, AND IT WILL NOT SHOW ANY TROUBLE CODES THE MODULE MUST BE REPLACED IT IS FAULTY ,
Addition Do you know where I can get one at a reasonable cost?
Answer If you're looking for a used one I would check www.Car-parts.com you can usually find something reasonable there.
