I do not know much about cars, but I am trying to learn. I know it will not pass emissions and I need to replace certain parts to get it to. I'm not sure what does need to be replaced. I could use a good list of parts to replace and things to do to get it to pass. Then I could talk to my buddy, whom I bought it from and check off what he has already done.

You may need to replace the Catalytic Coverter, the EGR Valve, or possibly the PCV valve. Also your fuel may cause it too. Run some fuel injector cleaner into your engine. Dump it into the Gas tank. Also you may want to have your oxygen sensor replaced. I'm a mechanic so I thought I could help. I just had my CRX DX emissions tested and it passed with flying colors with 240,000 miles on it.
