Hi,

My car was broken in to the other night.

How is the factory alarm disabled/shut off? Also, is it possible for thieves to get around the immobilizer? I'm guessing my car wasn't actually stolen because the battery was dead from a combination of not driving and -30C temps.

The steering column is a mess but all parts are still in the car (it seems)

How good IS the immobilizer really though?
