    Carbonio Carbon Fiber Intake
by: jmredfox on Wednesday, November 9, 2005 at 21:11 EDT
I have a 2003 GTI 1.8T and i am wanting to put an intake on. alot of people say just do any generic one, an intake is an intake. i always wanted to do the carbonio carbon fiber intake but decided not to awhile back becuase of the price. however, i just recently saw on velocityfactor.com that it will give u a 14 wheel horsepower increase. if this is the case than i feel that the 249.00 price is more than worth it. i didnt know if anyone had any expierence with this intake and how it performed in comparison to generic ones. pleaes post comments to let me know or lead me in the right direction.

hey man just read your comment
i just put in an intake about 3 days ago and let me tell you it sounds sick. I am going to say to defanitly purchase that if you are looking for a sick sounding car. However, i was talking to my friends and we both have a turbo'd car and he was telling me that getting a cold air intake is kind of pointless because the turbo runs off of hot air and the performance doesn't usually match up to what the say it should. I like mine and think it sounds awesome but do a little research on whether or not a turbo engine actually needs an intake for increased performance. Good luck and let me know what you decide
