I have just bought a 1987 mk 2 GTi as my first car and I love it! , However i was wonderign if anyone can tell me at what temperature the oil should run at? I am paranoid that she is overheating, any advice greatly appreciated

Mine runs at about 96 to 98°c
up to 102°c on hot days,and fast driving....
