Radio turns off when car is started

Help Please! Here's my problem, My radio shuts off when my 97 VW Jetta is started. The Dome light, Cigarette lighter works and Ignition lights work when the key is inserted in the ignition and turn over to the first click. Turn over to the start position the Radio goes completely off. Any help would be great.. Thanks

Does the Radio restart when the engine runs?
I guess this must be normal. The Radio is connected with "contact 15" or the "X-contact" witch got no power while you start the engine. So the start got every power it will take to start the engine.
You can fix this problem if you connect the radio direct with the battery, bus don't wonder if battery turns low cause you forgot to turn the radio off
