I have been unable to open my trunk for about eight months now. I've tried the key button, I've tried the latch on my driver's door, I've tried using my key in the truck lock itself and nothing is opening the darn thing. I did climb into the truck through the back seat and looked for an emergency release and didn't see one. Am I missing it? How can I get my trunk open?

I just went and took off the interior trunk lid covering (the carpet stuff) and released it by hand. I then closed the trunk to see if that fixed the problem and it didn't. Do I need a new relase mechanism? A new fuse?
