    Engine dies intermittently
by: kgoherrera on Sunday, July 30, 2006 at 20:10 EDT
This is so frustating. Just that in the past month my 2002 odyssey EX with 45000 miles has sporadically been dieing at low speeds. It happens mostly when I take my foot off the gas pedal and start to coastapproaching a stop light. All the lights in the dash come on and the engine quits. I have to turn the key from off to start to get it going again. Can anybody give me any insight on what could cause this. I am reluctant to take to the dealer until I know I could get it to happen in their presence.

I have been having the same problem with my 99 odyssey
stalls intermitently as you slow down. It is doing it more frequently now. I have 175,000 km on it.
New timing belt. recent tune up. engine vac to clean injectors totalling $1,200.00. Now I am trying to fix it myself. Tried new coil pack but it still stalls If I get it fixed I will post my solution. Have you had any luck?

    Stalling problem too

Got the same problem. Exactly the same problem. Were you able to find a fix? Dealer couldn't replicate the problem for me, so they're of no help either.

    Let me know. Thanks!
