    ODYSSEY TCS and ENGINE
by: EVKOVA on Thursday, November 15, 2007 at 22:54 EDT
I got 2003 Odyssey at 44K from a dealer. Everything was right. On th next day My enigne light came on and my TCS turn on. ABS is not on, but I'm worried that it might come on. TCS stays on all the time. I turn of the engine and after about 2 ml it comes on again. It does not flash, it stays on. Brakes do not seem to overheat.
Is it normal to have TCS on t that low miles?

    No, it's not normal

A warning light staying on all the time is never normal. Either the system thinks YOU shut it off (probably not) or the light is telling you there's a fault with the TCS system. The van is still driveable. If you just bought it, the dealer should stand behind it. At any rate, it will be money well spent to have the dealer hook up to the car's computer to find out exactly what's wrong. You could spend hundreds letting some mechanic without the right tools & manuals just guess and replace parts. It's a very sophisticated system on a sophisticated vehicle.
