Due to increased number of spiders and spam we're limiting access to our site for some spiders. Some ISPs using filters (AOL, MSN, EarthLink and others) and proxies to block important variables required on our site. We use those variables to track, grant access, show limited information and perform validity checklist. If your ISP blocking variables - you may be blocked by our system and will not be able to access it! Although we are trying our best to guess and not to block valid users. Effective February 19, 2004 for all AOL users and Members of CRXSi.Com      - AOL/Yahoo users will not receive notification on replies in Classified and Forum sections of CRXSi.Com      - AOL/Yahoo users will have limited access to the public data on CRXSi.Com New Limited AOL access policy is in place in response to AOL anti-spam policy. If you are an AOL user - consider changing your ISP. We have no tolerance to spam, we DO NOT spam and we always include "Unsubscribe" link in every mail sent out. Our "Unsubscribe" link always works and if you report our email to your ISP as spam - your email and Member account will be blocked on CRXSi.Com and we will try blocking your access to our server!      Yahoo users considered on our server unverified as AOL users often hide behind the Yahoo email account. AntiVirus software may have option to block the Referrer Variable and Browser Ident variable. If you want to see our pages - make sure your antivirus software do not block them or you will see the Forbidden sign and will not be able to visit the site for 24 hours even if you are a Member. Referrer variable is not about your privacy, it just tells our server where you came from. We allow only 2 pages to be seen if there is no referrer known. On a third page our access program will block you! If we do not know your browser or it is fake - you may be blocked on our pages immediately! Any information collected on our site remains private and not shared with any other sites or companies! We do not allow any advertisement companies to use their tracking software of any kind on our site to protect your privacy further! All restrictions designed to make web site intrusion difficult for spammers and only basic variables information required for anybody to see our pages. Normal users have full access to the public information on our site. We block users who perform the following tasks: Block referrer variable (when server can not tell where you coming from and you may not be able to post on forums and/or classified). Block their IP address (yeah, we've seen it many times and those users are cut-off). Block/fake browser ID (server do not know who you are and you will be blocked immediately). Access site with spiders hitting over 2 pages a second. Trying to get e-mail addresses for reason of spamming. We have developped a pretty good guesser program for that. Trying to gain access to the protected areas, cracking the system (do not confuse hacking with cracking - hackers are our friends). Collecting web site information not for public use, i.e. for commercial purposes and/or for private use. Try not to use any third party software to access our site or you may be cut-off by our system and that's when you'll see "Forbidden" message. Use your regular browser. (AOL users are encouraged to use full version of IE or Netscapte instead of the built-in IE browser in AOL program). The following users have small cases of limited access to information on our site: Users who is blocking cookies can not login directly and have to use a verification code every time they need to post anything. To increase performance and make sure any browser can be used on our site -- we do not use Java whatsoever. This is also done due to conflicting standards between Sun Java and MS Java. Also we feel that we don't want to limit access due to your personal browser preferences. In fact we are trying to follow HTML 4.0 standards, so Netscape is probably the best browser that follows those standards. If you prefer IE - some features may not be available to you as IE uses Microsoft HTML standards and not all of them accepted in HTML 4.0. The bottom line is, if you are a normal Internet user you are always welcome to visit us! PS Keep in mind, AOL users are not general Internet users and it is stated in AOL Terms and Conditions. AOL users are users of AOL network with limited (we stress it, limited) Internet Access. AOL also states that they may use filters and other means to "protect your privacy" - meaning they may block your Browser ID, block referrer, block Cookies or spoof your IP address. If that's the case - you may be blocked by our system completely or have limited access to our site. Earthlink has many filters in-place that may or may not block your browser referrer variables, browser ident (if our server see some wacky browser ident you WILL be blocked and see "Forbidden" sign instead of intended page), cookies flow, spoof IP Address, block banners, block pop-ups (we don't use pop-ups). If you using any filters available from your ISP - you may be blocked by our server or you may want to disable them to access CRXSi.Com - it is entirely up to you. How those Internet terms compared to a normal life situation? Browser ID - pretty much shows what person is wearing. Can be faked but in combination with manners our server will judge this person accordingly. IP Address - similar to the ticket you buy at the movie theater. Can’t see the movie without it and it usually has your row and seat number on it. Hardly faked and if it is - person gets to talk to the police. Referrer - shows the place you are coming from. Easily faked but faking has no meaning, really. If you meet a person for a first time and you don't know where he/she came from - how would you feel? Cookies - we give you our cookies and you keep them. When you come back we ask you to show the cookie. If you have our cookie - we believe you were here, if not - gotta get a new cookie from us. Cookies are quite secure but in case somebody wants to fake your cookie - we use them in combination with other things to verify information.
