Honda Fit/Jazz - DTC Troubleshooting: P1351 (15-5), P1352 (15-6), P1353 (15-7), P1354 (15-8) (L12A/L13A 5MT without ETCS)

DTC Troubleshooting: P1351 (15-5), P1352 (15-6), P1353 (15-7), P1354 (15-8)

P1351 (15-5): No. 1/No. 4 Cylinder Front Ignition Coil Circuit Malfunction
P1352 (15-6): No. 1/No. 4 Cylinder Rear Ignition Coil Circuit Malfunction
P1353 (15-7): No. 2/No. 3 Cylinder Front Ignition Coil Circuit Malfunction
P1354 (15-8): No. 2/No. 3 Cylinder Rear Ignition Coil Circuit Malfunction


1.Reset the ECM/PCM.

2.Replace the ignition coils of the cylinders that correspond to the indicated DTC with the ignition coils of the other cylinders.
Example: If the DTC P1351 (15-5) is shown, replace the front side ignition coils of the No. 1/No. 4 cylinders with the ignition coils of the No. 2/No. 3 cylinders.
Perform the same procedure on the rear side.

NOTE: The front side ignition coil cannot be interchanged with the rear side ignition coil, as they are different in shape.

3.Start the engine, and check the DTC with the HDS or the scan tool.

Is DTC P1351, P1352, P1353 or P1354 indicated?


YES - Go to then recheck. If the symptom/indication goes away with a known-good ECM/PCM, replace the original ECM/PCM.n


NO - Repair open in the wire between the ECM/PCM and the ignition coil.n
