Q.93 subaru legacy, Alarm kill switch will not alow car to start after battery change. How do you restet or dissable?
Looking how to dissable kill switch on factory alarm or how to bypass this feature. It will not allow the car to start after a recent battery change.

More Info required This is a factory or aftermarket alarm?

Addition Factory alarm.

Answer Try to unlock the car from the driver door, this should turn the alarm off.

Addition The driver door is unlocked. The car wont start because of a battery change. How do you dissable the alarm ignition kill feature?

More Info required Unlocked the driver door will disable the alarm and you should be able to start.

Addition While trying to start the car the driver door is unlocked. The kill switch is still enabled.

More Info required Hi after you hook up battery is the alarm going off. Thanks

Addition The alarm does go off. The horn does not work but the incator is signalling an alarm. Then when thew key is tuned the ignition is disabled. This problem was not there before the battery change.. Thanks.

Answer Hi try this hook up battery shut the hood. Have all doors shut. Take key lock and unlock driver door with the key in the outside lock cylinder. That should disarm the system.
If you have a remote you can use remote same way shut hood all doors shut on remote lock and unlock door with remote. That should also work. Last there should be a switch or a push style button usally black it will be small under driver side lower panel. You will have to hold that button in while starting the car. Thanks mike. Try the top part first.
