Heater doesn't work
Car: Acura, MDX, 2004 - Back to Fix-It - Acura Repair Manuals
Q.good radiator new thermostat no air in system, the heater doesn't blow HOT air!!! what else could be wrong.
I already checked/done: flush and fill new thermostat. no fluid leaks in the system
More Info required I have seen some bad air mix motors and some bad heater control valves as well. Does the cable move to the hot position when you turn the heat on? The heater control valve s behind the motor on the firewall on the passenger side.
Addition yes it moves from hot to cold, it just doesn't get hot enough. I'm trying to avoid the heater core!! It didn't have a cabin air filter in it could the heater core fins be clogged with dirt?
Answer It could but I doubt it. I see the valves break inside and not open when the lever moves to hot. I think the first thing to do would be to pull the heater valve and look inside while moving the lever to be sure it opens.
