When driving engine will die and..
Car: Honda, Accord, 1998, V6 - Back to Fix-It - Honda Accord Repair Manuals
Q.Have 1998 honda accord, when driving engine will die and immobilization light( green key) not come back on when trying to re-start. Engine will turn over but not started. Wait approximately 10 minutes and turn key on light(green key) flashes engine starts.
More Info required this might be a problem with the key
are you able to use another key ?
Addition Keys not problem, been checked by dealer, when engines dies all lights come up on dash except immobolization key.
It almost seems like a relay switch some where that resets itself after 10 minutes.
More Info required ok when this happens do the dash light turn off before it stalls?
we had problems with the ignition switch harness.
Addition Yes, dash lights go out for a few seconds, but do come back on except for immobilization key light. Also, maintance req. Light comes on.
Answer ok this sounds like the ignition switch is going out.

Addition Is there any other possible causes you would suspect in addition to ignition switch?
Answer a bad immobilizer system or a bad receiver that is not recognizing the keys code
