My car will not start - just makes a buzzing sound.

Q.my car will not start when i turn the ignition all electronics turn on and the car makes a buzzing sound. could it be the starter is bad or is there something i could do to get the car to start?

More Info required Is the buzzing noise coming from the interior of the car or the engine area?
Addition Sound is coming from under the hood. The enging makes no sound at all it sounds as if the starter is just spinnning and not catching anything.
Answer It sounds like the starter is faulty to me based off what you're describing.
